Armstrong Reveals How He Framed Nolan - The Rookie

Officer John Nolan (Nathan Fillion) arrives at Det. Nick Armstrong's (guest star Harold Perrineau) house looking to arrest him, but Armstrong turns the tables and reveals how he's framed John as the dirty cop. Watch 'The Rookie' SUNDAY 10|9c on ABC.

During Armstrong's first episode I knew something was off but then I grew to like him and now look where we are

If someone is gonna stand alongside Nolan it has to be Harper, he helped her with her kid, plus they were in this together.

The broken walls in Nolan's home support the idea that he was *looking* for something. Why would he tear apart a house he just finished remodeling if he knew where the stash is?

I’m so mad Nolan didn’t at least tell Harper where he was going and that Armstrong called him and confessed. Damn crooked ass Armstrong

I was absolutely devastated at the ending and couldn't believe that Armstrong was such a nasty piece of work. I really hope that they renew the show. The show has been absolutely brilliant and addictive. I also have great respect for the person or team that chose the songs as you have given me some amazingly brilliant but under-rated songs to listen to.

Just a few observations. Nolan had the foresight to wear a bullet proof vest so maybe he had the foresight to record the conversation and/or tell Harper what was going on. Another thing, yes there is evidence hidden at his house but those are classified police files. Nolan, as a rookie, doesn't have access to those. If he had tried to get any of those files he would have been caught. One last thing, Nolan and Harper spent the day looking at the evidence against Armstrong and trying to find rock solid proof so Harper knows what is going on and has Nolan's back. Also I see Grey seeing through this. The man is not stupid, he will listen to Nolan's side and believe it. Partly because of the evidence, such as the lack of access to those files, partly because of Harper and partly because he knows Nolan.

Aside from all the plot holes and non-believable things that happen in this show for the sake of making a tv show.. Nick Armstrong's disappearing/re-appearing lisp is one of the most interesting additions to the show..

0:28 I think this is my favorite line from this episode. Speaking from experience, Nolan is telling the truth, and I think Armstrong is a prime example of what not to do when you fall down.

Wahoo what an ending! Loved every moment of it and was hooked to see how would Armstrong react
Really challenging situation for Nolan! Even if he were to record the conversation, Nick didn't exactly say something that can be used against him, cannot wait for season 3!!

Armstrong was a good Detective, a nice side character, but sad that it turned that away.

I seriously hope Nolan was smart enough to have been wearing a recorder of some sort. They can still pull that spin in the opening of the next season. Nolan being arrested and then pulling out a recorder he had on him, getting Armstrong's confession. That is the ONLY sure way out for him. If there is no season 3, I will be SO PISSED. And this will go down along with my top most hated finales. (The others are Perception, Scorpion and The Finder.) PLEASE BE RENEWED!

This part was broke my heart. Until this scene I really wanted to believe in Armstrong. When he start to shoot Nolan, I lost my every faith. I'm disappointed, because he was a nice and interesting character, the other people in the department loves him...
