Michal:
Haven't you got any morals? You know that you're supposed to stick to your friends.

Helen:
How could I? He cheated. The professor knew. She had me over a barrel.

Michal:
How you say in English? 'A friend in need is a friend indeed'? You didn't turn out to be a very good friend, did you?

Helen:
Listen Michal ...

Michal:
No, you listen for a change. You're selfish and two-faced Helen. It makes me worry about what you're saying about me behind my back. Now, leave me alone. I don't ever want to speak to you again!

The answer in my opinion is 1. The phrase 'stick to sth' is used with inanimate objects, such as 'stick to your plans' whereas 'how you say' is wrong as a question. The phrase 'you did, what?' is acceptable in speaking. Am I right?

Shouldn't the question be 'which phrase of Michal's in INcorrect?' ? There's only one
that I would correct if my students said it, the other two being perfectly acceptable.

Personally I think when you let Michel, one speaks English as a second language, makes a lot of mistakes when he is speaking in your lessons is virtually not good. As Michal, I am learning English and I do think all those mistakes will be set in our minds automatically. I suppose that we should not teach a language in that way! Regards! Nam, aged 22, Vietnam.
