Look, just a quick theory. I'm hoping I won't have to explain too much. But what if the IDEA of making the Judi Dench video IS the inside joke? Like how an inside joke is, well- an inside joke. Get this. You're chilling with someone, and you chat, and then an idea pops up: "Hey, what if I make a video of an inside joke to see if people will figure it out?"
2nd person: "Well, what inside joke?"
You: "Judi Dench" (Which wasn't an inside joke before this interaction.)
And the way Judi Dench was said and how it was just random was funny. And the IDEA of making a video to try and have people figure out an inside joke outside of their circle was the inside joke? Therefore, the inside joke is real and does exist, but its explanation hides in plain sight.

Now, I don't expect me to be figuring it out, just browsing internet, bored outta my mind and just came up with a random theory ig. hope I explained it well enough for it to be understood. idk. Have a good one! :)

Ok, so I have a hypothesis. In The Joke 'Judi Dench' is said in a low voice and some type of accent. It may be, that The Friend is Scottish or supported Scotland separation from the UK, and Judi Dench, who's British, was one of the celebrities who wrote a letter against it. So, The Joke may be that her name is said with Scottish accent with low voice and strong emotions (like despise or hatred) because it's meant to be a representation of Scottish separation supporter(s) feelings to the actress. It also can be that that is a parody of something in Cats or a particular actor, I dunno, I neither have watched the movie, nor I know a lot about actors.

OMG, I REMEMBER SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THIS, IT WAS ON SOMETHING AND THE GUY WAS LIKE "judie dench" IN THAT SAME VOICE, CANNOT REMEMBER WHAT THOUGH.
