Iv used the s24 ultra, the 24 plus the iPhone 15 pro max and the OnePlus 12. The OnePlus 12 offers 95 plus percent of what the others do for as much as 50 percent less cost. It's easily the fastest and smoothest out of all of them. Its screen is the brightest, and for me still has a slightly curved screen which I prefer. I'm keeping the OnePlus 12 and the others are going back. Well except the iPhone, which unfortunately I am forced to use for work. The iPhone 15 pro max easily comes out on the bottom of these phones .

Lack of AI feature is the reason I bought one. I want my phone to be a phone that does what I want it to, not what it thinks I want to.

The "proprietary" 50Watt wireless charging is the worst possible thing to complain about especially being that you can use other wireless chargers for 15 Watt charging which is the SAME SPEED AS OTHER WIRELESS CHARGING PHONES

The lack of updates after 4 years isnt make or break for most people. A lot of people just dont keep phones for 5 years or more these days.

I don't know why youtubers still show off scrolling through a phone as a means of depicting how "snappy" or "fast" the new processor is. I mean, a mid range phone with a mid range processor can still be as fast and snappy as a top flagship, as long as it has a 120Hz display to portray such "fastness". This shows nothing

I wouldn’t consider 4yrs as OS updates as a bad thing. Sure, Samsung promised 7yrs, but will they deliver? If I remember, they had such promises in past but broke them. So, we’ll know 7yrs from now what is the situation with updates.

I dont think that wireless charging and AI lacking is a bad thing

*The phone supports 100w here in the US but only comes with a 80w charger in the box. You get full performance if you have a 100w charger from oneplus like me.

The 7 year OS comitement is cool and all, but doubt most people will actually keep their phones until this matters.

Like, OP12 launches with OOS14 and it get OOS18 and security updates until Jan 2029. Google Play System Updates works for the last 4 OS versions. And apps usually work on ~7 versions old Android versions. So it's a non issue.

Oneplus's fingerprint scanner is consistently faster than the Samsung Ultrasonic one, frankly Samsung's one is starting to show it's age, I have found it to be fairly unreliable, if Oneplus were to make a switch they should go for the huge Ultrasonic scanner used by Vivo's top phones.

It's the best value flagship. AI on other phones seems cool but it's definitely something I can live without until I upgrade in another 4 years. Nitpicking some of the cons is funny, Oneplus seems to have built a well rounded phone.

6:24 "The OP12 starts at $800 which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it..."

mate, wtf are you even saying

I think those 4 years of OS updates are still more than plenty. My wife still uses her Huawei P30 without issues, and it's on Android 10.

Who keeps their phone for who keeps their phone for over 5 years? After about 3 to 4 years you know the battery is about had it and you need to trade in anyway. You really think anybody's going to keep the pixel or the s24 for 7 years?

You're complaining about One Plus telling you that u have to buy their stuff in order to use the 50 watt wireless charging
But, hasn't been Apple, for over a decade now, telling all of their customers to buy only their stuff in order to have full functionality?
So it seems fair enough to me
Also, One Plus is givinig you with the phone a 100 Watt charger, not a 5$ cable like Samsung and Apple
This is my idea, but freedom of speech

I love the 50 watt wireless charging - name any other phone company that can do that ? And if you don't want/need that feature just use wired charging or normal 5-15 watt Qi chargers that you might already own.
