Barkley was undersized, and he's well past his prime here, but he's still blocking shots, tearing down rebounds, banging down low, and dishing out hard fouls. What a beast!

mid-80's to mid-00's was the greatest era of defensive basketball.

Barkley is an anomaly...6'5 power forward that guarded all three front court positions...too me he is the greatest power forward of all times

This was back when people actually wanted to win more than they wanted to be friends.... I miss those times...

Barkley was insanely tough for his size, but Malone was a beast.

So many levels of basketball to be appreciated here. Refs and commentators know there's a game within a game- they know there's going to be friendly back and forth (because it's WCF). All in all, today's NBA makes me appreciate 90's NBA that much more. Glad to have watched it in person.

people see him on tv now and forget- barkley was a beast. and loved both the pressure- and the contact. shame charles was coming to the end of his run here. his best seasons were spent probably in phoenix. basketball might never be this much fun again..

I lived in Houston a few years ago, and the HATE that Houston has for the Utah Jazz is still absolutely palatable even 25 years later. You can hear it in the announcers voices as they talk about the Jazz. Most of the current Jazz roster were infants and toddlers during 1997.

I find it hilarious.

the fact they're all homies off-court and they still fight each other should be a lesson taught by the later generations. leave that all on the court. everyone takes it way too personal nowadays and hold grudges for each other when sh*t gets heated.

Players today would have a very difficult time adjusting to the game back in the 80's, and 90's.
