It's not his physical attributes that make this bad behavior. It's his entitled, selfish actions. Glad op got first class.

OP didn't embarrass him. He embarrassed himself by acting entitled.

Flight attendants are incredible. I’ve never met a mean one. They deserve so much respect for what they put up with

I see too many people giving this guy leeway simply because of how big he is and trying to feel sympathetic towards him I'm a bigger person myself don't take up two seats but I'm aware My Size isn't always accommodated and can be inconvenience to others who are having to occupy the same space as me if it's small but that's beside the point the point is this guy sounds like a creep there was an unoccupied seat on his other side it seems like he was going out of his way to get into OP's space and also putting them in danger by taking their seatbelt just because he's a bigger person does not give him an excuse to act that way and he should be called out on it

But they will make you take a sock out of your luggage if you are an oz over.

I’m fat. I’m not “spilling into half the next seat” fat but my mum and I fly together and our legs touch.
If I was flying alone, I would book an extra seat just to be comfortable. This man is entitled and deserves what he got (or didn’t get in this case)!

Yes, overweight people on a flight is troubling and not always in fault, but the fact he did it on purpose and then tried to avoid it was what made him in the wrong

I had the guy next to me try to relieve himself into his open suitcase. He had the aisle seat and I was trapped by the window. Thank god for the flight attendant because none of the other passengers who met my eyes over his head did anything.

As an overweight person myself this just encourages me to loose the weight even more. It's so incredibly disrespectful to expect to put with your entitled behavior simply because you feel like it

he should be happy shes moving bc he gets the two seats - plus for both of them tbh even though it doesnt sound like he deserves it

I sat beside a woman with long hair and when her hair flipped it smelled terrible

Not to me but to my teacher. She sat with a woman with 2 baby's in a plane. There was a very rude cleaning woman who wasn't having it. She complained about something i don't realy remember about what. About 10 minutes bevor they landed, that cleaning staff wanted to block their way to go out of their seats. I don't realy remember how but there was some kinda seat belt buckle that you could strap between 2 seats and she blocked their way. When it was time for that woman to go out she struggled to go over that witch 2 baby's in her hands. My teacher is a woman who speaks up no matter what and she yelled at that cleaning woman, for doing that. Save to say she won't do it again

Good for her, my social anxiety so bad knowing me i would have sat there and suffered in silence.

Why are some of you defending the guy, the point is, he was being very rude, because he had so much more room on the other side of the seat, but he chose to sit partly on her seat instead

Ok, so I have to pay if my luggage is overweight, but he doesn't!?!?!?! 🤬

I had a parent let their kid kick my seat for about thirty minutes before I finally turned around and yelled at the kid. If the mom isn't going to teach the kid to behave, someone has to. He didn't kick my seat after that.

There’s a movie scene I saw and if I make no mistake, the same thing happened. I’m not saying they’re lying, it’s just crazy but not surprising that this stuff happens where people feel entitled and envious of the goodness ppl experience

A few yrs ago, I gave 1/3 of my seat to a woman. Fortunately, she smelled of fresh soap not overly perfumed like so many large women do. It was a fairly short flight. She was nice, we chatted, and she bought me a drink. She boarded last and had the window seat, so two of us had to move out to let her in. She needed the belt extension. I didn't complain, probably because she smelled nice, was polite, and friendly. Imagine encroaching on someone while having a bad attitude and bad hygiene. 🤢
