Check out some groovy tunes by the South African super-group, including Johnny Boshoff on Bass, Johnny Fourie & Archie Van Der Ploeg on Guitar, Tony Moore on Drums & Zane Cronje on Keyboards/Organ!
The band released the incredible “Jump Uptight” album in 1970 (Brigadiers - LPBS.1). They were nominated for a SARI award in 1971.
The single from the album, “Reggae Shhh!” / “Reggae Meadowlands” was released in South Africa in 1970 (Soulbeat - SB.122), in the UK (Decca - F 23042) and Italy as a picture sleeve (Decca - F23042).
The album was re-issued in the U.K. in 2020 (Matsuli Music – MM116).
Note the two tracks mentioned below do not feature on the album mentioned above and are rare.
