Only thing I’m going to counter with this strategy is with the shift banned now you might want to jump on pitching early depending how your league is set up. There’s going to be more hits and runs this year.

I’m in a 16 team league allowed to use 2 keepers. I’m gonna use my keepers on Aaron judge and Kyle tucker. The only other person I’d even consider using a keeper on is Bo bichette but not over those 2.

12 team categories league the way I am drafting. Gotta get OF and 3B first two rounds no matter what. Third round you gotta grab a 2nd baseman. Semien, Altuve or Albies. 4th round I’ve been grabbing Schwarber. Get that big home run bat in the OF. 5th round I’m grabbing ONeil Cruz at SS. First round potential player worth the risk. Could be a 30/30 guy. 6th, 7th, 8th round going all SP’s. Javier or Valdez in the 6th. McKenzie in the 7th. Wright or Webb in the 8th. Lodolo or Snell in the 9th. 10th round I snag Christian Walker at 1B. 11th I’m going for Hoerner (lead off hitter with BA and steals potential) or Stanton in OF for more power hitting clean up. 12th round I get Sean Murphy as my catcher. 13th round Chris Sale. 14th round Riley Greene or ROY candidate Casas. 15th round Oscar Gonzalez. 16th round get Fairbanks for saves. These are players I am targeting overall as I draft.

My first few fantasy teams i drafted (as a first timer) i was putting all my value in my hitters. None of my teams SUCK, but there all under .500. I would keep snagging great hitters, but when your left with only a few good pitchers, nothing goes well. I realized how hitters dont decide your team, and zero guarantees on what they average. I drafted 3 teams in June, where i learned to balance hitters and pitchers. Those teams are currently a combined 7-1 and have what you need. You got early hitters, and snag pitchers and maybe alternate, depending on the robbery or the pick. Im gonna succeed next fantasy season I hope

Trying to come up with one strategy as the best one is impossible because depending on league format the best strategy will be different.

I like the pocket Aces strategy where I already have 25 W's and 450 K's before half the teams even know who their ace is.

I can keep 4 players. I’m keeping Darvish$21, Fried$9, Valdez$7, Gausman$1. Everyone else is keeping 4 bats. I figure this will help me in the auction draft when everyone else is chasing and outbidding each other for arms.

I'm in a 12 person auto draft league. Never been in one before. Do you have any advice for how to prioritize my draft rankings list? Should I just list the top 80 or so players with some lower rank sleepers and let the computer do the rest or should I make it as extensive as possible? My draft is this Saturday

That strategy would never work in our league, where pitchers usually go very early. By the end of round one (we do 2 picks per round), the top 8-10 starters will be gone, maybe more. A lot of people take pitchers withn their first two to four picks. By the end of round 2, you're looking at guys like Jose Berrios & Cal Quantrill as your "ace." It's been that way for years. And last year, guys like Rodriguez for Seattle went in the third round. So pitching and hot rookies go very early for us. But it can be weird. Last year I went in focused on offense, drafted what I thought was an offense-heavy team and virtually every big hitter cratered as well as every rookie I drafted. My pitching was way better than expected and I hung around the top 3 until falling to 4th the last week of the season. So haven't formulated this year's strategy yet.

I’ve never followed baseball but my buddies were doing i league, I’ll follow this blindly and come back after the season to let you know how well it works for a complete 0 baseball IQ player
