I kind of feel bad for leah because every time she says the wrong thing in her mom's eyes amber gets offended. Poor kid just knows what she knows and shouldn't feel bad or weird if she calls her step mom her "parent". She lives with them the majority of the time.

I love how she balks at Leah calling someone else her 'parents', but totally glosses over the bit where she says she saw a guy/girl slicing their neck?!?! Wtf.

Leah obviously feels that HER DAD Gary and her stepmom act more like parents than Amber 🙄 and her fiancé

It's just easier to say parents than "My dad and my stepmom" omg🙄🙄

if you're going to put your kids through a crappy situation like this, the least you can do is not get offended when they're confused and say things like this. calling Kristina a parent is completely fine. she and Gary are parenting Leah together, therefore she is one of her parents, just not by blood. there is nothing wrong with what Leah said.

Wow…Amber’s friend doesn’t de-escalate it…she throws gasoline on it and helps it burn.

They are Leah’s parents... Amber is more like the egg donor that comes around every few months to remind you that she’s the real mother but she makes absolutely no effort to be a real mother

Aged like milk, Gary & Kristina are her parents and she wants nothing to do with Amber.

Leah: Gary and Kristina are my parents. Amber is my couch-potato.

I absolutely LOVE how Leah dismisses their childish bullshit and has absolutely no shame in calling her step-mom her parent. Who exactly does she think was there for her when her "mother" chose drugs, then prison?? 🤣🤣😂😂😭😭😭

"My parents" is a shorter title than "my dad and stepmom".

Coming from a blended family, trust me, it's just easier to say. Plus the child is only a few yrs old. I doubt she knew to tweak what she was saying in speaking to her biological mother.

Ambers sister or w.e was the one making a big deal of it.... not cool

Amber always has to make everything about herself. She should be pleased Leah feels secure enough in her relationship with her stepmom and dad to call them her parents. I can understand why it hurt, but wait until the child leaves the room to talk about it for gods sake!

That "friend" of Ambers has no business questioning leah like that! I am proud of Leah for telling the truth that her parents are gary and her stepmom as wamber only has visitation.

Step parents are parents to! You don't have to be blood to be family, and it is just wrong and disrespectful to make them less. If someone is there for you and your mother/father and loves you like you are their own that's what matters.

I am the mother of a wonderful 13 year old young man who has a step mom and step dad.
His father and I agreed a long time ago that our son could call his step parents whatever he was comfortable with as long as it wasn't disrespectful. I feel safe knowing that he is secure enough to call his step father "Dad Jason" and his step mother "Mom 2". I can kinda see how hearing it the 1st time might be a shock but I would never tell my son that a step parent is not his parent right along side his biological mom and dad. All 4 of us co parent him, we all discuss his achievements and his mistakes, we all hold equal roles in his life since my husband met him when he was 18 months and his step mom when he was just under 3. He has half siblings on both sides that he sees as his brothers and sisters.
My boy has his entire family every Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthday, and we even trick or treat together. I have done their family photos for years (it's always a mother's day gift for my ex's wife and also his mother). The extended family (mine, my husband's, my ex's, and my ex's wife's families) have also excepted everyone with open arms.
I'm not saying its always been easy but what I will say is it is 100% worth the work on both sides so that our son NEVER has to feel pulled in opposite directions. Our son knows that he is loved by all of us and we are all here to support him. He has 2 amazing fathers and 2 wonderful mothers. What kid wouldn't be lucky to have that?
