News9 Gains Access to CBI Chargesheet Revealing Shocking Details in Kolkata Rape-Murder Case | News9

In a significant development, News9 has accessed the chargesheet submitted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the rape and murder case of a second-year post-graduate trainee doctor from RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. The chargesheet, filed in a special Sealdah court, names Sanjoy Roy, a former Kolkata Police contractual staff member, as the primary accused.

Using CCTV footage and forensic evidence, the CBI confirmed Roy's presence at the crime scene on August 9. The document includes statements from around 200 witnesses and crucial evidence such as the victim’s mobile phone, forensic samples, and blood-stained clothing of the accused.

Notably, the autopsy revealed that the victim died from asphyxia due to manual strangulation and smothering, with signs of a forceful sexual assault. In a court appearance on Tuesday, the accused stated, "If I don't speak all the blame will be put on me."
