I recently bought the Nothing Phone (2a). I love it! There are a lot of things I like more than my previous Pixel 6, except the cameras of course, but the MediaTek 4nm processor is very underrated. For that price (I got the 12GB RAM/256GB memory model) performance, battery, display, fingerprint sensor, overall design are amazing!

I have used the Nothing Phone 1 for 1.5 years now and I must say it has amazed me in so many ways, the design, the screen, the technology, the connectivity, the power it holds, In other words it is no slouch it was used as my main gaming device as I didn't want to fill my S23 Ultra with games so yeah I can confirm that the Nothing Phone 1 is still a very good phone to any phone today in its category.
The only downfall after stressful gaming and high graphics settings wore the battery of the NP1.

Keep in mind that the Nothing Phone 2a is $350 whereas the S24U is $1300. This is nearly 4x cheaper.

I love nothing phones. The design of the iPhones with android. But I personally havent tried it so i cant day anything, but the 2a looks a bit weird and goes more on the samsung s10 side.

The Nothing Phone, despite its sleek design, lacks some basic features that many users expect in a modern smartphone. It doesn't come with its own web browser, relying solely on third-party options. Even more frustrating is the absence of a native photo gallery app, meaning you can't easily edit or manage pictures directly from your files. The inability to pinch out of photos adds to the inconvenience, forcing you to press the back button repeatedly just to exit. These missing features make the user experience frustrating and cumbersome, especially compared to older phones that offered more functionality.
