Man you dont give off "tough guy" or cocky vibes at all, your confidence and humility radiates and speaks for itself. A breath of fresh air in a stale entitled warped world view. What your doing is very commendable and i for one stan all day and can definitely get behind it man. Your gonna go places man because your planting the right seed and doing it in the right temperature

I'm 14 and had my first Muay Thai class toda. Its such a great, humble, respectful, and disciplined environment. I've been working on fundamentals on my own for a while, and my gear comes soon. Men, especially young ones, need to build that skill of humility and discipline. Thank you for spreading the message, God bless.

I'm a purple belt in bjj and have been training boxing recreationally for 10+ years. BJJ is my passion, but boxing is where I purge my demons out 2x week, I don't spar anymore but the workout alone causes me to burn a 1000 calories during a 1 hour session. Combat sports have made me a better human being.

The younger generation of men does need to learn self defense mostly because of bullying that has started to rise in recent years as children are made to be weak by social media. I remember when I used to be weak and got bullied but one day I decided to learn how to box, that might have been my best decision at that age.

I’ve been boxing for 4 months now. And I agree with this wholeheartedly. Boxing has made me feel more confident. I lightly sparred for the first time 2 weeks ago and man I looked foolish. It is humbling. You want nothing more than to get better.

I started boxing 5 years ago, and I've always tried to tell people about what it did for me mentally and physically. Especially the mental part of no stress and knowing you put yourself in harms way a couple of times a week. Gives that major stress relief. You worded it perfectly. Thank you for this video, I can relate to it a lot.

I started training mma last year at 40 years old and signed up at a boxing gym a couple weeks ago to learn those basic techniques. Combat training has changed my life and gives me a positive hobby rather than drugs and alcohol use a few years ago. Substances didn’t work out well for me. 💪🏼

Spot on Mate... I started boxing 6 months ago and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I used to be scared of sparring when I had just started until I read a quote one day that said action cures fear. Eventually sparred and I felt an immense relief and happiness afterward. Now I'm having my first bout next month.

I started doing Muay Thai about 7mo ago.
Learning how to defend myself has always been on my bucket list because I feel it's a part to becoming the best possible version of myself.
Even though I am still quite insecure and retract in sparring and as a whole, I can tell it has started to make a difference.
It might be minute for now, but knowing deep down that you can defend yourself removes one of the biggest fears in humans, which is our physical safety.
It's truly something!

Totally agree with you. Started training Muay Thai/Kickboxing back in 2016 as a hobby. Stuck to it ever since and it was one of the best decisions I did in my life.
The most important lesson it taught me is humbleness, humbleness and humbleness. There are tons of guys who are better than me and can kick my ass on any day, so once the ego is confronted with this harsh reality, it is much easier to keep it in check and grow and mature mentally as a man.
It has also taught me compassion towards the less skilled guys, beginners and whatnot... Always trying to help them when training and adjust the style to their skill level.
Last but not least it has taught me that it is pretty easy to hurt someone, if you already possess some level of skill, or get hurt if you get caught with that right punch or move. Hence I deliberately avoid any confrontation out on the street or anywhere else outside of the gym, unless it is absolutely necessary to protect life or health of myself or people close to me. I would recommend any man to take up a combat sport, it will do him good on so many levels that a person who never tried it can't comprehend.
Stay strong and train hard guys! ❤️‍🔥💪

Mate, you look so good for only 18 months training. I'm 50 now but trained pro boxing and kick boxing from aged 8 until my late 30's and my take from it all is the incredible discipline to learn something that's so physically AND mentally demanding. It translates over into everything in life.
It's nice knowing you can handle yourself, 99% of blokes haven't got a clue how to fight, but best to try and avoid confrontation at all costs cuz terrible things can happen (to them and you) 👍👍👍

I'm glad you talked about the risks of street fighting, it is always important to prioritise safety over ego and if running away is the best solution, then there is no shame in doing so.

Absolutely right! Ever since I joined my local boxing gym 6 months ago everything in my life has changed. I am more confident, i DO walk taller, I feel better looking at myself in the mirror (and not only in the physical sense, spiritual too), in general my level of self worth skyrocketed but I also learnt to be humble at the same time and respect those who respect me back. I believe martial arts have a special effects in a mans brain, since part of our instincts is fighting. 99% of people do not practice martial arts and I believe that could make them feel like less of a man in some way or another. So anyone who can, definitely give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

I have never in my life been more in "Teacher mode" than when I'm working with brand new students or trial-classers. I love it so much! Showing them how to throw a kick. Adjusting their form. Showing them how you might work it into a combo. The concepts of when it would be safe to throw and what kind of position it leaves you in. And seeing them FINALLY understand the technique. I love every moment of it and I wouldn't have a way to experience that without my Thai gym.

And on top of that, I get to sneak away with better technique having thought of and explained it to someone who had no idea at first. Iron sharpens iron, friends. Train hard. Never quit.

That last bit of the video where you said make our value, and how you're in our corner was absolutely beautiful to hear, thank you.

I went to a Taekwondo academy about 3 years ago. I just went there because I was recommended to join it by my parents.
I did Taekwondo for almost 3 months and left without participating in the belt test because my father got covid.
I didn't go to a martial arts gym afterwards, but I totally agree that the anxiety and depression part in me was fully eradicated.
Respect from peers or not, my inner self just felt unusually easy.
Compared to that, I joined a regular workout gym some weeks ago, and I've noticed that there was a lot of difference between my confidence and determination at the time while I was doing Taekwondo versus now. Whoever reads this, I would recommend them highly to get the self defense skills first rather than just striving for being muscular and beefy.
