Chuwi LarkBox Mini PC Unboxing and Review

Unboxing and setup of the Chuwi LarkBox mini-PC. Unfortunately, it didn't go well, and, together with previous videos about the TiVo Stream 4K and Amazon Renewed Google Pixel, inspired me to start a new playlist called "I Buy This Crap So You Don't Have To."

I did not get it from Amazon myself, though. I bought it as an IndieGogo project. I paid for this device out of my own funds and all opinions are completely my own.

One of these days I intend to start learning DaVinci Resolve or at least KDEnlive and move much of my editing work to Linux, but that hasn't happened yet.

Mine works perfectly from out of the box but it is the PRO version and no expanded storage. Sorry to hear about your nightmare experience.

I lost the power supply for this so I can’t turn it on. I couldn’t find a replacement on chuwis website and could find anything on Amazon. Is there something I’m not searching correctly? What would I need to buy?

I think i might want to buy it next year but if it does have display input problems etc, then im kinda worried to pay about 250 bucks or so and getting faulty product. Im in search of miniature PC and this seems to be best because of the size, rasperry pi and odroid ones are also small but not so capable i guess but in otherhand have been years in the market and are very stable miniature pc’s.

Mine takes minutes to open a youtube web page on windows. Screen tearing is horrible even at 720. Fan only works when it wants to.

Linux was a little zippier and fan worked but youtube playback was still horrible at 720.

Going to see how libreelec performs other wise will probably just use for retro gaming.

Wow i just bought mine.. waiting for it to be shipped. Did you ever get it to work? Did you buy this from indiegogo/chuwi website? Or was it from reseller from HK?
