The past 14 tattoos I left it on for a week each time and no issues

I've been leaving my saniderm on for 3-4 days after a tattoo for the last 5 years now . 2 sleeves and stomach/both ribs done

Because I keep seeing everyone say their artist says 3-4 days: YES, listen to your artist. HOWEVER, some people with sensitive skin and eczema react negatively to saniderm and long wrapping tattoos. So for those people, 24 hours is sufficient and you can take the wrapping off and clean it. Your choice to rewrap or not.

My artist knows I have saniderm at home so he just wraps it like normal. Couple hours later I'll wash it and wrap it again for bed. Usually next day I'll let it breathe then apply saniderm after the first 24 hours for 4-5 days and it comes out fine.

I spend 7 days with her, without even a problem. I spent a maximum of 8 days with her. In tattoos super charged with colors. My skin doesn't even have a reaction, but it's possible that someone might have an allergic reaction to using it.

As a Tattooer I tell people to let it stay in for 3 days becase pulling it off too soon will pull the tattoo off! Or parts of it off. Unless it is fully full of fluid like that even then you can push the fluid out. So just tell people to
Pull t off after 24 hours no matter what does not work all the time. Only time I've see irritation of when the skins is not cleaned from the oils form tattoo soaps before application of the saniderm.

My artist told me to take it off after 3 days only reason to take it off before then is if you shower and water gets in to it. Its also worth it tonwait 3 plus days since the tattoo healed more and it hurts less to take off as well as removes faster

Everyone is different after 24 hours the irration was so bad I couldn’t sleep and had to take it off to air dry. Now it feels way better I’ll just have to do the old traditional method

My artist put one on, told me to remove it after 24 hours, clean it, let it air dry, put ointment on it and put on another layer and leave it on for 4-5 days. After those 4-5 days he said to wash it then just apply non fragrance lotion

My artist said 5 days! So I put it on for the first 24 hrs, remove clean and rewrap for 4 more days. I apply Aquapor after cleaning so that it doesn’t stick to the saniderm!

I was using Sanidem on my last 4 tattoos, after 24h I need to remove it due to redness and itching...I might have a slight allergic reaction to Saniderm but overall it's a great product. Saves a lot of hassle with new tattoo aftercare.

This would be a nice video if it wasn't taken out of context. Leave saniderm on for 23 hrs after the tattoo. Then take it off to wash the excess blood, plasma, and ink off let it air dry and breathe for a while like 10 minute and then reapply a new clean peice. THEN you can leave it on for a few days 💁‍♂️. People make this so complicated. These are the directions ON THE BOX 🤦‍♂️😭💀

My tattoo artist said 5-8 days so I’m taking it off tomorrow on the 5th day.

Are we applying ointment before applying the second sheet?

This is why I don't even put it on until 24 hours after the tattoo. So I can just leave that piece on until it's done

I don’t get the hype of saniderm. I’ve never used it to heal any tattoos and they all heal fine and rarely take more than 7-10 days to heal. Just wash it throughout the day and keep it moisturized. None of the artists I’ve gone to recommend it, just seems like an unnecessary step with potential downfall of irritation slowing the healing process down. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m so confuse
I just got my first tattoo it’s kind of simple but I like it. It says faith and the “h” extends out into a little branch with a bird perched on it.
I kept the plastic on for the first day and night (it looked soooo messy I started panicking that it was messed up) but after a friend cleaned it for me it was safe lol. She apply a new plastic layer for me and I’ve worn this one for about 2 days now. I’m not sure what to do next though and after to take the plastic off

When did they start putting this wrap over tattoos? I have 3 tattoos. Oldest one is 31 years & the color is still visible with the red, yellow and green ink. We didn't use plastic wraps on any of my tattoos and they still look like the image that was drawn on them. Didn't get infected but it or dry. I put bacitracin for the 1st day then Vaseline afterwards. My daughter just got 2 small tattoos and when I saw plastic, I thought her arm was sweating or got wet. 😂 I find it unnecessary if you take care of the tattoo for the first week.
