I really don’t think this line up could’ve gotten any better, each member brought somethin to the table. THE BEST SOUTHERN ROCK BAND TO EVER EXIST.

Imagine Cassie on that huge stage, in that moment, singing her heart out and looking in front of her and seeing, just below her, her brother playing guitar up front in one of the biggest rock bands at the time, in front of thousands of adoring fans....

The band will never be replaced, it is so sad we lost Ronnie and Gaines plus the others.I only listen to this group and there songs all day every day. No group can even produce music like them. The song's they made are so enjoyable to listen to. If you listen to the words they are the best you will ever hear and you will learn off them because this man told story's with them and no group are as clever now a days to sing like that. I love every song he sings and they make. Long may they be herd and What a band

Great post - 5:20 the "Mighty" Steve Gaines rips it - monster tone from the Mace, burning 160 watts of Strat perfection...

I was born in 1990, but I am so lucky I could experience this class of music! Well, maybe kids these days are also lucky as long as they won't get into these songs cause their ears will bleed so bad! Lol

This song is actually mocking the racists that lived in Alabama.  No member of Lynyrd Skynrd was from Alabama and if you listen to the lyrics after "they love the governor"  Ronnie say "Boo Boo Boo" and then "we all did what we could do" referring to ending segregation.  Ronnie actually wears a Neil Young T-shirt on the cover of their next album and did many interviews stating his views and dislike for Governor Wallace.  Look it up.
