Tucker Carlson says he’s been “radicalized” by finding two weeks’ worth of groceries in Russia only cost a little over $100.

All he’s really done is discover how rich Americans are compared to Russians.

If Carlson earned Russian wages he would not be saying such stupid things

The best measure of how good people think it is to be in a certain country: which ones are people risking their lives to leave, and which ones are people risking their lives to enter?

Tucker Carlson might just become the modern day Steven Seagal for US-Russian relations.

70000
IS AVERAGE!?
I have only 25000 (270$) a month and it's the real average in Russia

US inflation is bad... However it's still worse in Russia. Tucker didn't address this reality of income differences and made himself look incorrect. He claimed his main point is to make US politicians look bad.

The minimum wage is Russia is 300 dollars. Good job, you bought a week worth of groceries with almost half your monthly salary

Anyone else here old enough to remember that time Boris Yeltsin stopped in a Randall's grocery store in America and realized that Russia was doomed to lose the cold war?

The Irony of Tucker trying to do the opposite (and failing) should not be lost on anyone.

For me to feed my family of five, it costs minimally 600-700 a month. This is even when I shop at the cheapest grocery store around, heaven only knows how much it would be if I shopped at Publix! 600 is NOT 10 percent of my monthly income. It is 20 percent.

L take. You see prices are a fraction in Russia what they are in the US and you try to pretend it doesn't matter because "we have enough money to pay for it". Ever heard of purchasing power parity (PPP)? Mises Institute is much better than Reason.

Reading these comments makes me realize how many sheep we have in our country. So sad and embarrassing

Average is 4, 700 a month? That's (roughly) 1, 200 a WEEK! I make $20 an hour and bring home LESS THAN HALF OF

As an Eastern European, this is so, so, so true.

Yup, I guess by this measure the people of Somalia, Bolivia and Romania must be super rich because things are also cheap for foreigners there.. and Switzerland, that must be one of the poorest countries in the world!

God it's so tiresome. Did not a single person on his staff think about this for even a second?

Our economy isn’t doing great. Inflation is real I have seen prices around me rise in the last few months alone. But, our leaders will fail to do anything about it. Republicans and democrats could care less if the cost of groceries keep going up. But it’ll only cause the country to destabilize more. When people struggle to afford to eat, crime will go up.

He thought the system where you gave a coin to get a shopping cart and get it back when you put the cart back was genius and innovative

Tucker Swanson hasn’t ever been to a grocery store in America.

Sorry dude, most of America doesn't make that much monthly.. if things are like you say, why are so many struggling ? Always looks good on paper. That's like Obama's jobs numbers. Temporary and part time employment really aren't jobs. But on paper they are.
