One Of Craftsman's Best. The DGT6000 Garden Tractor. A Great Old School GT from The early 2000's.

This is the tractor I picked up a few months back. I was able to remove all the Johnny Bucket equipment, clean it up, tune it up and get it ready for regular work. The mower has a lot of hours on it, but these things are built like tanks!

Very Nice DGT. I just picked up a 1995 GT 6000 18HP two days ago for $300.00. Got it from a guy at work.It belonged to his grand father. It is in fantastic shape. The seat has a couple small rips.Stored inside its entire life. The mowing deck was brand new and hanging on the garage wall and was just installed this spring. Apparently his grand father always towed a gang mower set-up with it.Should make a nice back-up unit.

Nice tractor. Never saw one with a tach on it before. I have a 29 year old Craftsman 2 garden tractor with the Briggs and Stratton opposed twin 18hp with the 6 speed. Got it in 06 for 350. I just put into what I paid for it this spring. It's been a very reliable tractor that keeps going. I have no idea how many hours mine has on it or how many where on it when I bought it. The deck isn't rusted out at all. In fact still has the stickers on it. I will keep it till it won't run no more.

Awesome tractor, I dig the oil filter, I guess couldn't expect anything less from Kohler.👍

This DGT was made in 2004. A '98 model would be dark green.

Nice! My neighbour has one, I’ve made him aware I’d like to buy it when the time comes. I have an early 90’s GT6000, thing is a tank but getting a little tired. And tough to find parts.

I used to have one of these well 26 hp 24x12x12 rear and larger front also.
I made a rack for front that was held on with pins. I would regularly load over 500 lbs and carry around farm..very dependable..

I just had one given to me by a friend.😀 It does need parts replaced, drag link, blad idler pully, gas cap, tire tubes, fuel line, and the typical oil & air filter change but, I'm not complaining. It came with the plow, wheel weights and a cup holder, shaken not stirred 🤣.. it's powered by a 27 hp Kohler V twin pro. 👍👍 The one thing that I wish it had is a hydrostatic system .. that would replace the belt side of the hydro-gear .. and everything would be hydraulically powered front and rear pto & quick connects for multiple attachments however, the belt system produces a lot of torque😀. I am thankful for the machine that was GIVEN to me though...yayy!!! I am having trouble finding the correct drag link, your's may be the same. If possible, could you send me a picture or vid of your drag link? Thanks in advance

those dgts are nice but the best tractor craftsman ever sold was the ff garden tractors of the early 80s built to compete with 400 series john deeres and cub cadet supers

Sears as a company really took a nosedive unfortunately, but their tractors were legit. At first I had their GT3000, got it used. That thing was a little beast, 25 twin kohler, oversized tires, everything overbuilt for sturdiness. My next one was their pro-series with a locking differential (I can't NOT have that feature on my property), this time 26 hp kohler. Another nice tractor, I still use it along with my massey ferguson.

I have a parts gt 6000 with hydrostatic green brick 1992-1994 engine is bad used bigger wheels on another craftsman tractor. Also have a kohler m18 powered craftsman a step down from 20hp with electric lift but does have cast iron axle and factory equipped sleeve hitch.
Going to repower it with a Wisconsin THD parallel twin 860+cc😉
I love 1987-1997 craftsman garden tractors👍

What an awesome, awesome machine. I'd trade my DGS 6500 for one of those any day!

I'm spoiled. I use a '19 Toro 5900 for work and it's got a heck of a display and diagnostics thing by the controls.

Hi Eric, my wife and I sold our suburban house and we are moving to a 5ac property. I need to get a mower/garden tractor to work the land. Mainly snow blowing and mowing for now, and working a garden (plowing ect) in the future. I’m very handy with small engine work and repairs. I’ve found some GT 3000’s in my area for the $500-600 Mark (no blower) but have also found an older JD 212 with a mowing deck and blower for $700 (kept indoors but currently not running. What would you go for?
