Logic Pro X - Exploring Retro Synth

Retro Synth can sound GREAT, if you work at it a bit. TBH it has an extremely authentic VA section, quite a bit better IMO than many softsynths I’ve payed well over $150 for.

After watching our tutorial, ( really good thanks), i have a question. I am using preset 'sunrise chords' and its panning automation preset within it, how can i control the panning within the retro synth.

Is there any way to get this synth for any other DAWs? I don't have a mac, and Logic can't run on any other computers.

I'm really new to this and I'm not sure how to make any sounds with these synths. Do I need an MIDI controller/keyboard of some sort? Is that how people play sounds with synths? :(

Hope anyone can help me to understand this: In the OSCILLATOR part of the Retro Synth there is the "shape modulation" knob. I understand that this knob controls the amount of LFO modulation that we want. So, If we have this knob to control the LFO amount, why do we have another one in the filter section?
