Not ‘politically partisan’ to ‘expose’ Marxism: Space Force lieutenant colonel

Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Lohmeier says it’s not “politically partisan” to “expose” critical race theory or Marxism after he was relieved from command in the wake of a podcast appearance criticising the US military.
Mr Lohmeier told Fox News he has kept his rank but been reassigned within Space Force.
His reassignment came after he appeared on the “Information Operation” podcast to discuss his book “Irresistible Revolution”, which soared to number one on Amazon’s bestsellers list after news of his situation emerged last week.
A Defence Department spokesperson said he had been relieved from command “due to loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead” and an investigation was underway to determine whether his comments “constituted prohibited partisan political activity”.
Mr Lohmeier said he does not believe his comments were partisan.
“I don’t believe I was being partisan. It is not politically partisan to expose or attack critical race theory or Marxism,” he said.
“The reason I say that is because critical race theory and Marxism are antithetical to American values. Critical race theory fuels narratives that attack America's founding documents.
“I'm being misportrayed online – I don't criticise any leader, or any person in the DoD or any elected officials – but I try to tee up ideas that I think are toxic.”
