I’m really excited about this one, the marketing makes it seem like it’s gonna have some horror/survival elements to it. Darby McDevitt is also the narrative director on it so I know it’s gonna be great! He’s the goat!

I imagine the story might be something like a female assassin comes into contact with an isu artifact, uses it but people obviously see it as witchcraft cause they don’t know, the templars and the church will be hunting her under the guise of a witch hunt to get that artifact. Perfect for an AC story!

I really hope that they won't use the mAgIcAl aspect too much, after all we all know there was no magic involved. But of course it could be a good starting point, having the protagonist witnessing a witch trial or maybe being accused of witchcraft herself. I'm reeeeally curious to see who and what they're going to include. The Ordo Teutonicus for example could be the templars. With it's earlier connection to Akkon and Jerusalem it would be very fitting. Possible locations may be around Köln, Mainz, Flörsheim, Würzburg, Eichstätt and Bamberg (there was a prison built for witches, the Malefizhaus), as there was a lot witch-hunting going on. During that time there were actually a lot of satanic cults, because people were so desperate that they hoped if god wouldn't help them, maybe satan could, which might explain the "Mephisto" reference. There were quite a few interesting (and fanatic) people running around like "der grimme Hexenverdammer" (the grim witch doomer) Friedrich Förner, who actually died under "unknown circumstances" ... my hidden blade tingles already. 😂
Oh, by the way, the "e" at the end of "Rache" is also pronounced, just like in "Hexe". 🧙‍♀️

Eh. I mean, it has a cool aesthetic, I guess, but it doesn’t feel like Assassin’s Creed. Looking at this just makes me want to play the Ezio games again. Or Unity. Man, those were good, huh?

I feel like the game is going to fail, considering that the fandom wants a simple AC game with a real assassin and the old mechanic, and they freaking put witchcraft in the game. Someone must've used witchcraft and destroyed Ubisoft mind 💀
