Wondering why the floor was sagging, now I have some idea. Suggestion for the video. I'm waiting for that payoff shot where you're walking on the new non-sagging floor and your foot stands midway between the untouched flooring and the new. The success shot. Thanks for the video!

I have back part of my house that is built on the ground, as I was told when I bought it. As best I can tell from the light arrangement in the ceiling as well as the sagging floor. There are only 3 main cross beams and the spacing on center area is 4 foot spans. I was aware of this for the second floor and try to avoid heavy things to far away from those cross beams. However recently the first floor is sagging, mostly du to the kitchen table legs at the center of one of those 4 foot spans. Could I just drill a hole in the floor and fill it up with expanding foam. There is no craw space as best I can tell unless a person is less then 8 inches thick and willing to craw into a spot that they might not get back out of...
To tear it up to add supports under it would be like a complete rebuilding of that part of my house. I agree it should be done but I have no way to pay for this and also with the added expense of having to move out of that part of my house completely. My other idea was to build up the floor on top of the existing floor but I only have about 2-3 inches to work with, as well as the back door would have to be modified as well. What I was expecting years ago when I bough the house that once I agreed to buy it I would be given the floor plans and frame build and any recent remodeling things that were done to it. Nope and the guy I bought it from when he bought it It was already partly remodeled so there was much he did not know about as well.

Why not just level it out from underneath with 4x4's. OMG why would you use particle board? I would have used 3/8 plywood...
