The Jade hate is very crazy. The intense dislike for Jade among players is striking. Many criticize her design as unattractive and shallow. Furthermore, her past act of enslaving Aventurine has made her the most despised character at the moment. Her English voice acting is also a point of contention, with players calling it forced. HoYoverse faces ridicule for allegedly designing a "mommy-type" character to lure players into pulling for her. Some have even replaced Jade's model with Himeko, believing Himeko suits the role better.

I believe her design is good and attractive. Maybe her personality is a bit less likable, but because she is a villain, I think it suits her character. I also think the voice actor did a good job. People may have judged her harshly from the trailer, but it was rushed and not representative of the whole. Let's see how this character plays a big role in 2.3.

Wasn't Aventurine about to die because he killed his actual enslaver? I believe Jade coerced him into working for the IPC in exchange for postponing his death sentence. Also her design isn't that bad, considering a lot of the loufu characters look the same

She didn't enslave aventurine, aventurine was already a slave before he was sent to jade for killing his previous master

Jade just offered him a chance to become a ten stone heart AND a chance for him to obtain his true freedom and that is what aventurine wants. Remember he turned the masks fools offer to take jade's offer instead in becoming the ten stone hearts and that was HIS choice jade didn't force it on him cuz he had another option to escape the ipc but he didn't take it

Also in their voicelines it seems that jade understands aventurine on a deeper level and they seem to be rly good friends

Its like Aventurine all over again, people hated him for his mischievous and deceptive personality but once the other half revealed his past and such, people started to have empathy. These idiots are truly brainless.

Edit : For more evidence on these idiots on twitter, they complained about wanting an evil character. Sparkle showed up which caused controversy between the community about how she’s racist and such. Its happening again to Jade but worse since her VA is being attacked by the fanbase.
