Can you imagine a time when things like basketball, the telephone, and the automatic dishwasher didn’t exist or had just recently been invented? A time before mass produced cars. Well there are 6 people left in the world who do remember this time in history. They do because they are still alive today. In fact there are only 6 people left in the world who were born in the 1800’s. It was a time when typhoid fever, dysentery, scarlet fever or the measles claimed many lives. You would sleep on a mattress made of thick cloth and usually stuffed with straw. Essentially you would be living like a pioneer. A lot has changed since then. I can’t even imagine what my life was like before the internet let alone in the 1800’s. Well these 6 people do and unsurprisingly they are all women and here they are.

No one from the 19th century is alive today. The oldest person currently alive is 117. This is obviously reposted from multiple years ago.
