I lived in Honolulu when the original 5-O was filmed. In fact I lived across from where McGarrett turned to look at the camera. Since I don't live there any more It was always fun to see the places I use to love and I also enjoyed the new version and very sorry to see it go. Aloha All!

The original Hawaii Five-O was one of the shows that inspired me to get into Law enforcement. I always told myself that when I got older I was going to move to Hawaii and live in The ILikai Hotel. I lived all of those dreams. I had a career in law enforcement "On the Mainland", moved to Honolulu in 2001 and lived in The ILikai Hotel. I actually opened up a store, The Shipping Shack, in The ILkikai Hotel, while living there. I rode the elevator to and from work every day !
