L'Or Barista Coffee Machine by Philips - Broken after 2 weeks

L'OR Barista coffee broken after 2 weeks and less than 20 cups of coffee. I decided to upload this video as the machine suddenly broke whilst I was making a cup of coffee and so far, the warranty support line has been very unhelpful.

I expect much better from a £79.99 coffee machine.

It’s an air lock, push the water container up and down on the base whilst it’s running it will clear eventually. Not ideal but it does work.

Not broken. Just take the water container off and push it back on again a couple of times and it works

I had exactly the same issue. Removing the tank and wiggling didn’t help BUT tipping the machine upside down whilst it was trying to draw the water through fixed it! Like you say, it’s a air bubble and you have to dislodge it

Lor are pretty good at offering replacements or refunds. Had an issue with mine the start (its fine now)

I've already logged a call online with them and received an automated email, but the maintenance is handled by Douwe Egberts, who seem to be a pain.

The first time I called up, the phone cut out, the second and third time I was left in a queue for over 10 minutes listening to elevator music and decided to give up.

I'll try calling again and chase up.

Mine was brand new opened from the box. Didn't work. Sent it back. They sent me with another faulty one that doesn't work either 🤷‍♂️

You have an air lock, I had the same thing but got rid of the lock and it worked perfectly

Wife bought one of these and brand new out of box same issue. Pumping the tank made no difference. Dulce Gusto never had this issue. Returning.

Could be that the pump sucked air and now needs purging because the capsules hold too much pressure.
Run the machine without a capsule.. Then use a capsule

I just bought this piece of crap in Stockholm and brought it home. It doesn't turn on, I brought it back to the store right away and they tried to prove to me that I'm an idiot. The store employees turned it on and off for about 40 minutes and didn't do anything with it, they took it back and returned my money. Don't buy it, it's crap.😂😂😂

It doesn’t look to be broken. It is just that your water container is locked and the machine cannot use the water…

Faulty no perforation after 1 week. Customer care hopeless and on hold 23 mins and the girl who answered could not find my order and we got cut off. Finally got someone who helped return the machine and new machine arrived fast but also faulty. Returned 2nd machine and had a 3rd new machine which was faulty after one cup. Totally unacceptable.

I had same problem. I boiled water with vinegar and used it in the back of the machine. Suprisingly it worked 😂

Place and Replace the water reserve and everything will be ok 👌🏻

I BOUGHT 2 of this machine in the US in July and one of them developed the same fault when I arrived in Ghana. Affraid to start using the 2nd one.

unit defective or injection system busted or just unlike with this unit. try getting in touch with them since it under one year. try descaling cleaning if possible if not better luck with your next unit.

Same with mine!! So annoyed! Seeing if I can get the air locked loose….I have barely used one box of pods and it is stalled or broken!!
