LIZ Truss has delivered her farewell speech to the nation as Prime Minister, vowing that "brighter days lie ahead".

The outgoing PM said that the UK "continues to battle through the storm", but she added: "I believe in Britain, I believe in the British people."

Ms Truss didn't apologise for her disastrous mini budget that sent mortgages soaring and the pound plummeting.

The outgoing PM chaired her last Cabinet this morning and will - just 50 days since entering No10.

Should be some form of criminal charge for the negative impact her decisions brought upon the nation, regardless of the timeline she did so within.

Well done Lizzy! You’ve the shortest tenure of any British PM in history, solely on your incompetence and arrogance to the logic of the wider global situation, and yet you still have the cheek to talk of strengthening the nations defences and economy. I feel so sorry for the embarrassment your husband and children shall have to deal with from your failure ship. I suggest you quietly mull off into the abyss to serve your constituency.

Money available for Bankers and wars, while the people struggle to pay their bills.
We need a new system, this 2 party nonsense has went on long enough.

She hasn't learnt a thing after her fiasco at No10. Still thinking with her ego and doomed to failure because of it. She would make all the same mistakes if given the chance again.

I guess she paid some one to stand out there and clap, or they were clapping because she's gone.

Quite incredible the level of delusion this woman shows. Her time as PM has been an absolute disaster - proven by the fact that she has had to resign (before being pushed) from the job in such a short period of time. And why she continues to look so smug in the face is again, incredible.

One must take a positive view, thank goodness our late Queen didn't have to see the unfolding utter mess the government under Truss caused the nation.
