Houseplant Haul | Quarantine Purchases Edition

Hello sweet friends, today we are taking a look at all the house plants that I bought or received as gifts during the COVID-19 stay at home orders. There are some semi-common and uncommon plants, but they are all very interesting.

NOTE: Aran_Deathly pointed out I said the jewel orchid was a macodes but it is in fact a Aneochtochilus chapaensis, sorry about that!

Pam...I will probably surprise You, but here, in France, Ikea sells Clusia!!
I had one...Halas mine is dead, her sort of main trunk just rotted suddenly....argh...yes, in the long run, she Can grow as a tree!And there is a variegated version !Indeed her leaves are super symmetrical and a bit succulent...she loves high humidity and don't over water her... voilà ! Bye😆😉

I had ordered a few plants from Ecuador before the pandemic and then that happened, I'm also glad they waited! I got them this month and they are stunning healthy plants that are already popping out growth!

The Begonia lookes so lush! It clearly loves how you are treating it. And the cactus 😂 neglect was apparently a-okey!

Also, so interesting that the Clusia 'Princess' is more uncommon for you. They are a staple where I live. They are almost always available at the nurseries. I've seen them as office plants and I had one that I bought at my local IKEA. Unfortunately mine got root rot this winter and I wasn't able to save it 😢

Haaaa “I needed a begonia with bright green leaves” Yes! You are right about the kalanchoe. There’s actually 2 different types in there. The big ones are from my outdoor and the really tiny ones are from an indoor one. I’m bummed out about the Moringa. No worries, I’ll send you some seeds to grow one. 💚

Weak and powerless...😂😂😂 you always make me laugh. Hard to pick a favourite, but that Macodes Petola is stunning. I've been seeing jewel orchids in Australia and even though I'm not a fan of orchids, the foliage is just gorgeous, so I might succumb.
