Same thing happened with my drive suddenly ...my drive shows there is error plz scan& repair the drive ...i continue with that..but nothing happen..i dont know what happen..the scanning and repairing in the same spot..after some scaning..the disk cant scan..what happene to my disk..plz if u hv ans plz reply...i hv many data on the drive

The annoying problem is when you see this message but when you manually check the drive with "automatically fix" disabled and then no errors are found. If there are no errors then why does it detect errors?

When i try to continue without scanning i do not see the files i transfered to the drive. I see the title or name on the file, but when i open it i do not see the files.

Great info, quick question, I started the scan nd repair and its been stuck on scan and repair for over 24 hours, so how do I stop the scan? And will ejecting my removable drive at this point, destroy the data?

Good afternoon, I have an external hard drive I use on my MacBook Pro, out of no where the drive stoped showing up, I plugged to a windows and it showed up but takes forever to copy out my files, stuff on 0% progress... my external hard drive got pluged out without ejecting it correctly. first i got some connecting problems at first, but then it worked more or less ok. the next day i got this window pop up... it works just fine tho.. for now. could i one day lose my files or the whole drive not work properly anymore?

'This PC' sees the external drive but will not scan it. Is it because it is an 'exFAT' format?
