2023 Aprilia Tuareg 660 | First Impressions Review

The brand new Aprilia Tuareg 660 adventure motorcycle is finally here and it is fantastic! This bike was built to go head to head with the very capable Yamaha Tenere 700 or T7 to it's friends. Is this Aprilia with the same engine as fitted to the RS660 and Tuono 660 a better adventure motorbike? This is to be seen, but it certainly has a lot more technology built in to it.
This video is my first look / first impressions review of the Aprilia Tuareg 660 after having ridden just 150 miles on it. I will do a full review of the bike once I have had a season riding on it, and in that video I will go into more detail over how it performs, the various modes and what it is like to live with. This video is a brief overview of how I am finding the bike so far, including talking about the seat height for shorter riders like myself. I also take the bike on a local trail / green lane, out on a dual carriageway and on some lovely twisty back roads. I have already changed the OE Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres for some Motoz Tractionator Adventure tires which are more of a true 50:50 tyre. Other than that, the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is completely standard as it would come out of the factory.
In the video I mention a couple of channels I watch who make fantastic review videos, one of which has already reviewed this bike, so you might find them interesting to watch:
@LambChopRides who has already reviewed the Aprilia Tuareg 660
@spicy110 who makes some excellent motorcycle review videos.
I'd also like to mention @Mrfish2015 here too, who mainly reviews Hondas, but also puts out fantastic motorcycle reviews.

If you have not done so already, do take a look over at my other social media, I am active on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram, & you'll get sneak peeks into possible upcoming videos that may interest you!

It sure seems like a hell of a machine. Any concerns about reliability? I've heard Aprilias are hit or miss and it's the biggest factor keeping me from considering this one.

FINALLY! The 1st UK owner review. I am so pleased to see this I've been watching reviews almost daily on the Turaeg since its launch in Sardinia. As a current middleweight dual sport & Enduro rider this is the bike that ticks all the boxes for me, although having owner mostly Japanese bikes for sooo long, what concerns me is the reliability.
As an example Nick Sanders has put some serious miles on his Tenere 700 through several continents without any issues at all. ...But I don't want a Tenere 700. There's just too many things I don't like about it. The Raid isn't much of an improvement either. It's still hasn't got tubeless tyres or cruise control & is almost the same price of a KTM 890 adventure R with all the bells & whistles, which is a real ugly looking bike with an agricultural sounding engine.
So, Yeah...I will be looking forward to watching further reviews on your Turaeg before I put a deposit down. Please Keep them coming 👌👍

Looking forward to more episodes with this bike. I want to get something similar as we have some great dirt roads to explore here in Australia.

The bike does feel smaller than it actually is when riding it :). Standing on it is great, feels natural... Nice review, well said all around.

HaHa! Right when you mentioned the Quadlock, the video went to an ad for Quadlock! Amazing!
It is quite the beast mate! Looks the goods for sure. They're not available here until mid year, but I reckon they'll sell well when they're released. You're absolutely going to love this bike, I can tell!

Just purchased one in the Indaco Tagelmust colorway. Looking at tires. What size did get in the Motoz for front and rear. Thank you for awesome first review!

It was very smart of them to be able to switch modes ( and turn off ABS ) on the fly!!
It would have been a big annoyance if you couldn't, especially for that type of bike.
Hope you get your new seat soon, feeling a bit uncomfortable at stops kinda sucks!
Good review Hippo!! Very comprehensive!
