I am 1, 70 cm and presently have both Tenere and Touareg. I’ve been using them for day to day use and some off road with knobby tires.
I couldn’t agree more with you! The T7 does everything good! But the Touareg simply does it better. It’s more powerfull, shorter and I never bottomed out the suspension the way the T7 does. You will do right with the T7, but make no mistake, the Touareg is more refined, faster and more equipped bike!

My new bike! And I don't care whether it's reliable or not. A lot of this is talk from times past. My Tuono v4 has been running for 45, 000km without any problems. So nothing at all except maintenance.
I don't really understand why everyone needs a bike that has to cover 300, 000km. Most of them don't even manage 5, 000 a year.
And optics can be debated. I really think it's different. Not this pseudo-would-be rally tower garbage that isn't really available off the shelf anyway. I don't understand why everyone thinks he's a rally driver😂?! For me she is really almost a unicorn. Up to 5000 rpm there is enough pressure for everything and above ... 80hp it pushes like a rocket ship. Nobody needs more off-road .Exactly what I mean by an adventure bike! Forza Aprilia 💪

Knocking it out of the park again, another excellent review about real-world usage.

Just a heads up on the ABS, once you get the software update, you can no longer turn it all off only the rear.

You make it sound like this is the first adventure bike from Aprilia. They have long history in lightweight off-road and dual sport bikes. First Tuareg came 1984 for desert Rally and followed by the more street oriented Pegaso to compete with Transalp. Aprilia was very early with fuel injection on the unique twin engine dual sport enduro RXV 450.

Hey great video. Cool that you went out and took all that original on road/trail/drone footage. Also very well written and read.

I’m a former Aprilia owner and had no problems. I have no hesitation about the brand. My nearest dealer is 120 miles away, which gives me some pause. Thanks again.

Tubeless and cruise control. Every bike should have this.

Remove that behemoth top box from the rear and the looks will instantly improve! Good review mate!

She is the best, she is beautiful, she looks so pretty, she is known for dripping a little oil from time to time, and finding and ordering parts from the many many dealers across the world is one of the best, the best ADV motorcycle ever, she is the greatest, , the best, and can be dropped from a rock, and is going to survive...huh? What a great review, she tells it like it is, she is great adv rider and bike reviewer, she likes things longer and stiffer, she likes to talk nonsense and post on you tube...

Dude, not sure what 890 AR you rode but if you set up the suspension to your riding style and speed, it is confidence inspiring on the dirt or twisties. It goes hard and can be set plush. The 890 engine has grunt right off the bottom and is a different class to the Tuareg. Agreed, compared to the 890 AS, the Tuareg would be my pick for dirt and road.

Ktm 950/990 Adventure is the best adventure bike ever built, period! Rode a 20 year old 950 Adventure S, Touareg 660 and DesertX back to back lest weekend and the old KTM was superior in every aspect. That was a real eye opener!

I think the reliability issues put people off this bike, even after aprilia dropped the price theres only 210 licenced in the UK compared to nearly 3000 T7s.
Ive never seen one of these on the road here.

I was between a Tuareg and a Norden. Test rode both as a newe rider and I ended up with the Norden. I'm quite happy but as a tall guy I sometimes remember Tuareg's ergos was better (1, 89 m). Totally agree with the engine. For me Tuareg's is even better than Tenere's. It's so smooth and doesn't have this on/off feeling.
Loved your video, as you said I'm tailoring my Norden, ... Hope I don't end up changing it for a Tuareg ..😂 Thanks, I liked your point of view very much!

I've been hearing nothing but good things about the Tuareg 660. They sell them where I bought my Guzzi. Were I intending to adventure off-road, I am pretty sure that would have been my bike, but alas, I haven't the time, and I hate the look of the Tuareg. But it does seem to have taken the mid-size adv market by storm.

What puts me off the Aprillia(for long distance, remote, multi country riding e.g. Africa) is parts and service challenges for a rare bike. The T7 may not be common, but you can ship Yamaha parts and most mechanics aren’t scared of the brand.

Tuareg owner here. I increased slack on clutch cable and - maybe it's placebo - but quickshifter work more smoothly. Or maybe it's because I have fresh oil :P

I would be very curious to see your review on 800 DE and Tenere World raid. Two bikes that nobody dares to compare

Great video, can you give me a comparison of the aprilia and the Yamaha in terms of the throttle response. Does the Yamaha have an abrupt or snatchy throttle. I’ve read some that say the Yamaha has that issue, thanks

Can you provide the data sheet you reference throughout the video? 20:42 for example
