Manipur Election Results | Congress Candidates Leading In Both Lok Sabha Seats In Manipur

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Congress is leading in both the Lok Sabha seats in Manipur - Inner, and Outer (reserved) constituencies.

Congress candidate Angomcha Bimol Akoijam is leading in Inner Manipur over his nearest rival Thounaojam Basantakumar of the BJP by over 62,000 votes.

In the Outer Manipur seat, the Congress's Alfred Kanngam S Arthur is leading by over 2,700 votes over his Naga People's Front (NPF) rival Kachui Timothy Zimik. Mr Zimik was earlier ahead, but the gap narrowed till Mr Arthur eventually overtook him.

Why clashes happening in Manipur.During 50 years of congress ruling in Manipur more Hindus converted to chirstianity. To day the Hindu population in Manipur is 41%. Frequently clashes happening in Manipur is due to inter religion marraiges.hindu boy wants to marry chirstian girl or Hindu girl wants to marry a Christian boy respective parents do not agree these inter caste religion marriages. Both boys and girls from different religions without knowing to parents they are marrying.After getting married Hindu boy or a girl they are forced to pray chirstian gods and they are unable to conduct pooja in thier homes.problem starting here only. Truly saying they are not leading a happy married life.clashes happening and trouble becomes severe and because of this inter religion marriages everywhere fighting killing happens.Congress leaders say BJP is doing all this kind of problems. During 50 years of congress ruling in Manipur they have not controlled the religious conversions.
