The thing is, these are supposed to be for beginners... They most likely dont know how to set up a guitar and having a luthier adjust the nut would cost them about the same as the price of the guitar.

Instruments are expensive because they require a bit of love to play right.

I needed a proper tuner to intonate a guitar, i dont have the files or the skills to file down a nut and ive been playing for 10 years.

If i can give a bit of advice to a beginner, rent a proper instrument for a few months to see if you really want to spend hours playing and save up for a proper instrument a good guitar will cost around €800 - €1500.
