ah yes. the barista that has like 5 lines of dialogue. they use latte magic. of course

I thought I'd give breakcore another shot as well as try doing some percussion things. When writing for this type of jazz I learned you can kinda just put random percussion things in there, and if you put them at the right spots they just work somehow. The thing I didn't think would sound good was layering the breakcore with the normal percussion, but surprisingly they work really well together. Especially that doorstop thing and the extratone-ish snares.

Also I figured out that if you record a video of Reaper playing back the song at a much slower tempo, you can just speed it up in post and (almost) entirely avoid the lag. I'll probably be doing this from now on since it looks so much better when the midi scrolls by faster.

Everyone else is talking about this being the consequences of your actions, but I personally think the barista just asked "Would you like Caf, Decaf, or a Fight" and the player just picked the dialogue option "Fight?" and the barista, too tired and overworked to recognize it's a question, begins the boss fight.

I imagine a sleepy barista getting fed up with someone's bullshit or something and going sicko on them, but she's still really sleep deprived, while also still taking orders, so her calm barista theme remains. She is only using a fraction of her power, imagine if she didn't work the night shift last night.

this gives the energy of one of those little joke battle encounters, battle starts, it's going through the dialogue, you think it's just gonna be a funny little secret fight for a unique item or something... and then the enemy uses a move that instant kills one of your party members
