"Faster" is a song by English rock musician George Harrison from his self-titled 1979 studio album. The song was inspired by Harrison's year away from music-making in 1977, during which he travelled with the Formula 1 World Championship, and by his friendship with racing drivers such as Jackie Stewart and Niki Lauda. Although equally applicable to other professions, the lyrics address the difficulties of achieving and maintaining success in the field of motorsport, particularly Formula 1.

My dad used to play this to us as kids on his cassette from 1979, it would have been around 1992. He woukd turn the music up for the cars engine sounds at the beginning and we'd all sing along to it. Now he's an old man and thanks to this video we can re live that moment as seniors. Thanks for posting. Much, much appreciated.

Always loved this song, being a massive f1 fan myself you got to see George loads at the GP’s I attended back in the 90’s. He was really good mates with Damon Hill the 1996 champion (and son of Graham Hill, 1962/68 champ and Indy 500 winner). In fact I’d say this song really got me into his later work after hearing it.
