Bread Bait: Attracts smaller fish like Perch and Redfin Pickerel.
Corn Bait: Can catch smaller fish like Chain Pickerel and Bullhead Catfish.
Cheese Bait: Favorite of smaller fish like Bluegill and Rock Bass.
Cricket Bait: Attracts medium-sized river fish.
Worm Bait: Good for medium-sized lake fish.
Crayfish Bait: Medium-sized swamp fish like this.

RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 LURE LIST
Lake Lure: Attracts all medium and large-sized lake fish.
River Lure: Attracts all medium and large-sized river fish.
Swamp Lure: Attracts all medium and large-sized swamp fish.
Special Spinner Lure (all fish caught)

You need to go to the
location shown at the start of the video to
activate the Legendary Fish Quests, otherwise the
Lures wont spawn at the bait shop!

There is actually another one which is the best bait and it looks nice it’s actually free you unlock it by a stranger mission near butcher’s creek when you unlock the new and last camp you’ll find a man with on leg and he’ll tell you to go find his horse who has his wooden leg when you give back his leg and horse he’ll tell you to visit him someday and when you do he’ll tell you to go fishing with him and catch a legendary fish and when you arrive he’ll give you the legendary fish bait he had two one for him and a spare one he gives you the second one and then you have to catch the fish meaning complete the mission to keep it

I need help i ended the game and i didn't know that you need special lures to catch legendary fishes so now Stanger mission is not appearing

Just came here bc i discovered van horn legendary spot by the lighthouse, and i forgot all about the bait lady so i was trying cheese for the muskie.. I somehow left my saddle in clemens point so couldn't fast travel to lagras! Just to find a muskie on the stones right next to my horse?! XD

This helped me in an incredible way. Caught about 5 or 6 legendary fishes after this video, almost all of them immediately.

Great guide. I didn't know I was right behind the bait shop hunting alligators 😂. The pull the rod up and down tip is simple but for me it's game changing🙌
