I've had my 22 SV for 6 months now, this review really sold me on buying it...over the RAV4 or CR-V. I get super mpg's, it's really quiet, smooth, no regrets. Oh, and this is the the only one in the running, when I was looking them all over, that does not have the annoying-as-hell engine stop-start! That right there helps put this over the top.

It's amazing that a small three cylinder engine has that level of performance. Quiet and smooth ride are such great attributes of any vehicle used day to day. Laminated side windows are really a great feature. Nice vehicle. Thanks for the review.

It’s a variable compression engine, it only requires 87 octane fuel.

Just picked the base 2wd model last week. Superb engine, much better re-engineered trans, super fun to driver... you get this thing going and it does not want to stop. A comfortable, well equipped, fun, light on it's feet car. Nissan nailed it.

EDIT: There are 2 other quick change modes for the shift ratios if you don't like the Standard; Eco and Sport. My wife prefers Sport because it downshifts quicker, I tend to use Eco for coasting... or I use the paddles, they are way more fun than they should be on a cvt.

Nailed this review bro! I just snagged one of this bad boy with Premium Package AWD for a great price despite of all the dealers doin crazy mark-ups on new and used cars these days. The new engine is fantastic, but i can agree that the long-term reliability of it is yet to be proved. However, Nissan wouldn't gamble on an engine as such if they're not confident, so guess we shall see. I was very impressed with the power delivery of this engine and i think they've done a great job re-engineering the CVT for this year. Nissan makes some of the best cars that are highly underrated.. they do have a lot of catching up to do though, but i think this was a step forward in the right direction.

Wow, As an Nissan / Infiniti fan of their products especially this one. Also I totally in love with this SUV especially the paint job as well. Also I rather get this vehicle over it's competition. But excellent review bro.

I have the '21 Rogue SV Premuim All wheel drive. Great car. But I'm super annoyed they waited until '22 to add the turbo option. There was zero information ...from my dealer...they were adding this engine.

And what of long term reliability of the turbocharged engine, and the cost of repair should it fail???? future maintenance cost to avoid such failors? what about hybrids in the future?

From expensive personal experience, I have learned not to trust Nissan transmissions.

Reading owner reviews on Edmunds and elsewhere, this seems to be a lesson many other Nissan owners have learned the hard way.

Does anyone know if the updated CVT in the 2022 Rogue has better reliability than prior Nissan CVTs? Or is it too soon to tell? (Owners seem happy with their 2022 Rogues while many complained about the 2021 and earlier Rogues).

The vehicle itself looks fine and has a lot of interesting features. But none of that means jack if you’re stranded by the side of the road waiting for a tow truck 700 miles from home because your transmission just blew up.

I test drove this car, and I liked it. Course, I did the FWD version. I live in eastern NC so we don't get snow here and if we do, everything is shut down. I'm a tad concerned about the 3-cylinder turbo engine. My uncle thinks the engine is a bad idea and it does make me nervous. Everything I read shows this engine would require high octane fuel. What's your take?

Was the engine warm when you did the rev? Sometimes the limiter changes depending on how warm the engine is.

You drove both, what would you pick between this and the 2022 Tiguan SE R line?

People should also realize that they are pumping in a "fake" or simulated if you will engine sound through the stereo speakers. To make it sound like a V6. It's quite creative although other car manufacturers have done it before. Since there is obviously NO WAY a 3cyl engine would sound like this. I often wonder if your listening too music if that throaty engine sound goes away since music will be playing.

Nice car.. with the turbo engine, do you have to put premium gas?

Well done! Thanks. NIssan guy forever. Do you think the demand will dissipate somewhat next year? I'm not really worried about reliability or longevity because I will lease this.
