R.I.P. Owen Hart, rarely do we get one of those wrestlers who is so charismatic and technically talented in the ring.

what about Mark Calaway (The undertaker) as "Mean" Mark Callous?

I remember seeing Owen in WCW in the early 90s. I was instantly a fan. He had incredible moves. I remember seeing him do a split legged moonsault, and I was blown away. The announcers probably mentioned him being a part of the Hart wrestling family, but I don't remember it, and I had no idea he was Bret's brother (Bret being my favorite wrestler at the time). He disappeared shortly after, and I was disappointed, until he surfaced in WWF a few years later.

While he wasn't in the ring, John Cena was an extra in WCW's movie Ready to Rumble before going to the WWE.

Fun Fact: The first Nitro match (held at Mall of America), had Brian Pillman  fighting Keiichi Yamada (aka Jushin Liger), in which Pillman won. Just like the first episode of RAW when Yokozuna  won against Koko B. Ware; both instances had a now deceased wrestler won the inagrial fight.

Bob Holly actually started as a jobber for WCW, Kane worked a few jobber matches there before he was even Dr. Isaac Yankem in WWE under the name Bruiser Mastino, and arguably the most famous one of all...

Triple H himself

The only one I didn't know was in WCW is Edge and Andre the Giant, the rest including the extra few at the end of the video I knew was in WCW and I'm pretty sure so did most others. I laughed when Raven's name was included in there, who didn't know about Raven and the Flock! There some insanely talented wrestlers in the Flock mostly Saturn and Billy Kidman should have had much bigger futures than then ended up having, but that's history now.

The Undertaker was also in WCW before going to WWE and he was a Paul Heyman guy there and was named "Mean" Marc Calloway I think.

Wow the only one I DID know from this list was the Hart Foundation (at different times). All the others, I had no clue that they were in WCW. Interesting video~

How about Kane?

Maybe 5 wrestlers before 2001 who weren't in WCW might be more of a surprise.

1993 - 1995 WWE was a family show then 1996 - 1999 thats when we grew up and started watching more WCW mainly because it came on earlier and it didn't feel like a cartoon. WWE was my sleeping pill after I watched WCW.
