On Thursday, July 7, 2005, four explosions paralyzed London's public transport system in the middle of the morning rush hour. At 8:50 am, three bombs exploded fifty minutes apart on three subway cars. A fourth bomb exploded on a bus at 9:47 am in Tavistock Square. The bombs caused a major disruption to the city's transport and telecommunications infrastructure.
