I remember alcantara being a hudge threat playing with licey in the dominican summer league, he was doing hit and dobles every single time and as a fan of the opposite team (las aguilas) it was a headache seeing him on the plate. i hope that he can bring the same help for the padres this season.

Kim is a disappointment at bat but he is a good ss. This also seems to be Myers' off season cause he is not delivering at all!! Padres NEED to work on the offense.

Love my Padres but yikes, getting Runs is so important! A 3 HR for the pirates would be nothing if we have 10 scoring but for this, yes that makes a huge difference. Small ball is all we need and you can't leave the bases loaded! We're damn lucky we're in second place thanks to our starting pitching and defense but the offense is such subpar that it's a miracle we're behind the Dodgers, and this is without tatís! But still, even without Tatis Jr, Tony Gwynn must be laughing at heavy and shaking his head at this offense! Either way, try again tomorrow Padres and wake tf up!

If the Padres wanted to see how they'd do without Machado in the lineup, I guess we know now. Too many bases loaded opportunities came up empty. Kim is struggling offensively and Myers has almost always struggled under pressure (he did have a good season in 2020 though). Frustrating that our closer couldn't get it done, but it is only his second blown save of the season I think, more frustrating that the offense couldn't get more runs home. Let's hope Gore has a great game today!
