WordPress Astra Elementor - Local Install

I have seen time and time again questions relating to this on the various Facebook groups.
Thought that I would put this tutorial together to help the DIY WordPress beginners get a better understanding of how things work and the terminology that is used.

Have a question? How do you add SSL to a local site (Using Laragon) and does it have any benefit before migrating it to the client server? I tried last night using Laragon>>>Settings>>>Srevices & Ports>>>Checking the SSL box. That did not work. I also read I needed to change the port to: 8000 and that did not work and as a matter of fact completely broke the whole Laragon WP install as I could not bring up my site at all locally until I switched back to port 443 and unchecked the SSL box.

The reason I ask these questions is I developed a site locally using local-by-flywheel on Windows (which I will never use again as it is as slow as a slug) and when I migrated to an SSL site I had to fix so many things, especially images. I was hoping with Laragon, I could develop locally with SSL therefore making the migration process easier? Would this be true and is there a way? Thanks ;-)

Not sure why you would enter admin as the user when the site will eventually get cloned to a live site - set it right in the first place !
