Jordan Brian Henderson MBE (born 17 June 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Liverpool and the England national team. Regarded by some as one of the best midfielders in the world, Henderson is noted for his leadership and technical ability.

Henderson joined the Sunderland Academy at the age of eight, making his first-team debut a decade later in November 2008. He spent six months on loan at Coventry City in 2009, before returning to Sunderland. In 2011, Henderson signed for Liverpool, winning his first trophy with the club, the League Cup, one year later.

Appointed Liverpool captain in 2015, Henderson won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2019, and in 2020 led his team to the Premier League title, the club's first league title in 30 years.

For his performances in the title-winning season, Henderson was named FWA Footballer of the Year. In 2022, Henderson lifted the FA Cup and the EFL Cup, where Liverpool defeated Chelsea on penalties.

An England international, Henderson has over 70 appearances for his country since his debut in 2010. He has appeared at six international tournaments with England, the 2012, 2016 and 2020 UEFA European Championships and the 2014, 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups. He was the first player to win the England Player of the Year award at both the U-21 and senior level.

Jürgen’s lessons don’t just apply to football, they also apply in life. He speaks so much sense and there are so many lessons we could all takeaway. Being able to see the bigger picture is probably the big one here. Life, just like football, gets a bit tough at times and it can get a bit dark but that’s where people need to stick together. I’m so glad I’ve got a role model like Jürgen. I’ve never met the man but I feel like I’ve known him a lifetime. The world could do with more people like our Jürgen. I’m so glad he’s ours ❤️

Remember how Klopp was singing with fans "Madrid had all the fucking luck and we'll bring it back to Liverpool" after losing the final against Madrid and next season they won it. He is unlike any other top manager, absolute Legend.

Klopp isn’t just a manager at Liverpool. He inspires everyone in Liverpool as a whole. From doubters to believers. He really is the best thing to happen to Liverpool in the last 30 years and will forever be a legend. YNWA

Klopp is different class 👏🏽 In an age of stupid money, media hype and individualism he builds a team on reality… hard work, failure happens but learn, have each others backs… solidarity 🙌🏽

I mean it’s unreal that many people wanted Klopp to go. Can’t get that in my head. He can’t keep the same level of performance the hole time. No manager can, not even Sir Alex or Pep could. He’s led my club to trophies and good transfers.

He (Jürgen) is a much better ambassador than all of our (in germany best hated) politicians.
Best wishes to all Liverpool-Fans, we love your town, music and people.

If it wasn't not Jurgen, the person would have crumbled. Two league titles missed out to the same team by one friggin point, two champions league Cup lost, one europa league cup lost. The man is of a different breed and faces dire situations like no other..

One of the greatest things FSG did was sign Klopp as the club's manager. He completely changed how liverpool played, set standards so high that we are used to only highs & even blips looked disasters. This season showed all the diehard liverpool fans that nothing is guaranteed & even a legend like Klopp need all the backing from liverpool owners to rebuild this squad to even bigger achievements.

If a coach of mine would’ve acted like that towards me and my team after a loss it would’ve meant the world to me. That’s a man you run through a wall for

Everyone laughed when the players went to the fan's and celebrated a draw. That was Klopps first step to getting the fans truly back onside. One of the foundations that got us back on our perch. Incredibly clever man.

I hope those that have been asking for Klopp to go due to a bad run of results and a serious amount of injured players at the start of this season see this interview. They should realise what a world class manager we have at Liverpool football club. Credit to you Jordan for your honesty. Klopp is and always will be world class. True Liverpool supporters will always stand by their manager and team through thick and thin. YNWA

When he plays, Liverpool are a better team. Gerrard as a captain did it all himself....Jordan makes everyone better! Lucky to have Jordan as our captain. YNWA Jordan...you are a legend.

P.s. Loved the Daniel Kahneman bit. A psychologist who won Nobel in economics! Absolutely love the podcasts.
