Ray, watching you teaching your kids and all of you working together to achieve a shared goal is truly special. You are a great father and role model for them. Best, Andy

the best part is kids learning TOOLS and how they work. That is a skill that lasts a lifetime!

From the time I was about seven or eight unto high school I was expected to help my grandpa in his garage where he built horse trailers or at the apartments doing remodeling. On the most part it was usually a lot of fun (plus grandma would pay me on the sly:-). It was always hold this or find that! When I was in my mid 20's I started my own print shop in my basement which eventually grew unto 15 to 20 employees. That's when I realized how much I learned from Grandma and Grandpa. Throughout their lives, I never let them forget how much they taught me by mistake. I eventually told Grandpa that Grandma paid me and he just laughed and said, "I figured that because you were always so eager to help." They were parents to me and I'll be forever grateful for how they helped me. I'm sure your children will look back some day and feel the same! God bless you friend, You're a pretty cool dude:-) -keith

I met you all outside of Cottonwood Arizona! I just bought a bus to Redo, and I plan on creating a slide out in it by using this design. Thank you!

Many YouTube creators are good because of their OCD/perfectionist nature. It’s not a criticism, just an observation. I’m sure I’d be the same way. I’m guessing my goal would be to create my best product in the least amount of time possible... while at the same time battling the task of capturing the work on video. This would definitely be a challenge.

I say this because it’s really great to see someone working through these challenges while at the same time involving others in the process... especially your kids. This definitely doesn’t make things easier but your kids will always remember these times. You’re giving Bart a new life but he won’t live forever. The skills and the experience you give your kids can live on for generations. Good for you!

This is truly sizing up to be one of my favorite YouTube builds. Keep up the great work!

I had to stop halfway through to give you a thumbs up for 2 reasons first for watching the kids have fun and the kids helping you they are getting their hands dirty with their dad! What a great way for kids to learn how to make something along the way.

The best system I have seen on you tube, when so many people are looking for a way to build a slide out thinking they should learn from you. Well done and thank you for sharing.

I have looked all over the interweb looking how to do the slides. This is a great video. I will be doing it the same way you did,

Great job, I like the manual crank out, fits the KISS method plan perfectly. Teach those kids all you can, they'll never regret getting the knowledge and will always remember getting to spend the time with you!!

Thx, that wa exactly the content I was looking for. I will try to build mine more like the Protek Q18, but I think what you showed will also be applicable. 👍🏻 All the best for your Father- Daughter build 👍🏻

Such a nice change to see kids helping. Also thanks for handy hints that will come in handy with my big tiny house that I'm hoping to build, with my kids 😊

Omg! Sir...I applaud you! I've been searching for a way to engineer a manual system for slideouts and have been searching and racking my brain for months!

Your design is the definition of simplistic! I didn't want to do a hydraulic system or cable actuated system as that just things that will fail long before a manual system.

I will be doing a video documentary on my bus build and I will be giving you a shout out as I'm doing with everyone that I'm taking design ideas from.

Thank you again for sharing your design concept sir!

I looked at this, and all I could think of was the landing gear on semi box trailers. This is probably going to work like a champ, and outlive the life of the trailer/RV.

Great job your doing Ray. If your going on the road you might consider going Solar for some things. If so you will want to leave some space for the batteries! They take up a lot of room.
I also wanted to say that I've known Ray for around 25 yrs and he's a great guy. He and his wonderful family are just what you see, excellent people, very loveable. As you can see in the video's, Rays best quality is he loves to laugh, and his wife and kids are jewels. Keep up the good work.
