It is the former president's first public appearance since Saturday's assassination attempt.

Im from the UK and this is exactly the way news stations used to talk about the Queen. Hushed tones and reverence. It's extraordinary. Trump has impressed the world with his bravery. I've liked him since before he was first elected, I've been called racist, far right, alt right, a conspiracy theorist etc. i'm none of these things. But some of these same people now agree with me.
