I absolutely love that in the second part of the song the characters are trying their HARDEST to try and prevent all the what ifs to absolutely make sure that they meet. It is so genuinely ingenious.

its interesting how the lyrics not once say "love" in this love story. I think it makes this song meaningful in a way as it describes the connection without saying it in one word.

1:48 THE WAY THE SECOND TIME THROUGH THEY HELP EACH OTHER WITH THEIR LITTLE PROBLEMS AND HOW THE LINE MERGE INTO PURPLE AT THE END AND SPELL THE TITLE/LYRICS. Koy is insane at perfectly making masterpieces to your already great songs.

Edit: Each time I go back through I notice another small detail, there's so many technically unnecessary additions but they were added and it makes it even better.

Took me so long to realize at 2:08 the boy uses his thread to stop the tree from falling onto the road. I just thought the girl sped past it. The animation and story telling is so brilliant

Oh my GOD!!! This whole thing is incredible, but the ending!!! I love how she’s still knitting with purple yarn at the end. They were so meant for each other that even once one is gone, he’s still part of her. Her string will never be red again because of his blue 😊

I love how at the end it shows the beginning of another love story with the little girl sitting on the bench next to her and the boy passing by on the bike. THIS WAS SO SWEET AND HEARTWARMING AHHHH.

The best part about the song is the ending
They get married have kids and then an hour glass appears implying time is running out😢😢
Then it turns into a heartrate getting weaker and weaker and it flatlines. Then the blue star pops out and goes to the sky. Implying death.
However the thread stays purple even though the blue died. This says that no matter if the blue dies the memories, the happiness and the impact of the blue never dies. Then we see their child looking at a boy riding a bike just like her father OR grandfather

2:26 i just realised this part of the song means thats the boy just died, the sand timer running out, and the fact the fact the line suddenly went flat.
This is such a good song and the animation to accompany it elevates it to another level.
Easily your best work yet and over time you have just been getting better and better. Keep it up!
