UK marks five years since Brexit amid calls to rejoin EU

Friday marks five years since the United Kingdom formally left the European Union. But opinions on Brexit have shifted in the past year, and they could set the scene for a 'Bre-turn'. TRT World's Joel Flynn has more from London.

I voted to leave the EU and I was only 25 years old and since then I've gained a wealth of knowledge and can confidently say I had absolutely no idea why I voted Leave and that it was of course the absolute wrong decision and I would welcome the idea to rejoin the EU. However I believe we need to fully submerse ourselves into the EU life and adopt the Euro, change the road markings and side we drive and become fully compliant with the EU and not work against the flow and be half in half out like we did last time.

my honest opinion is that we should have United States of Europe where every fracking people in the Union has the same rights, same prices same everything, United together, not one country the master and other the slave.

i drive hgv for one of the largest haulage companies in uk ! before brexit remember in 2015 the work load was maad !! Agencies paying fat bonuses just to get a beginner behind the wheel! Nowadays i had to go on a contract money is down 50-75% to what i used to earn before brexit etc ..Im sure someone is benefitting from brexit ..but that surely not the average working ppl class that has to go up every morning to go earn a living !!

Europe needs to stand together more than ever. That includes the UK. In the past it might have set the wrong message to let the UK rejoin so quickly but things are different now. A fast tracked membership is definitely doable and necessary.
