I recently watched Adventure Time: Distant Lands by myself. I was saving it for when I could watch it with someone I grew up with, like we did years ago. It's been 6 years since the original show's season finale, and the person who I would have watched the sequel with is no longer around. I realized the day I was waiting for will not come. But... I also realized that it's okay for things to not always go as you had planned.

Everything stays, but it seems like a lot of things go too.

I used to sing this song to my niece when I'd carry her around our backyard. It's been stuck in my head for the past 8 years lol. I figured now that I'm actually trying to produce music, I should try to make a proper cover of it... perhaps with a slight twist: "What if Finn wrote it?"

At the time when I watch, distant lands I became quite distant with the original show but when I got to the Finn and Jake one oh man that brought out the feels especially the ending I think it even nearly brought me to tears and that told me despite me becoming distant with the show for many years, it still meant a lot to me and listen to this version reminded me of that definitely putting this in my playlist
