Build A City To Stand The Test Of Time | Memoriapolis-Part 1 (Historical City Builder -Early Access)

Memoriapolis is a grand historical city builder where we take a city from a mere handful of buildings in the Age of Antiquity through to a sprawling metropolis in the Age of Enlightenment! It's a city-building journey over two and a half thousand years in the making!

After deciding that our people are really into philosophy, and also after designing a pretty fancy coat of arms, we settle down in a nice location near to a river, some mountains, some trees and a road.

As we play we need to manage not only our resources, such as food and wood, but also the satisfaction of our people. To this end we have to build special buildings to make sure people are happy with life. Some buildings make people safe, others bring out people's creativity.

As we build special buildings our city organically grows around them and districts begin to form and specialise in commerce, education or defence.

There are also decisions to make, new buildings to unlock, factions to deal with, Wonders to build and a lot more! But the big question is... can we build a city to stand the test of time?

NOTE: This is the Early Access version of the game.

From Antiquity to the Age of Enlightenment: lay the foundations of your city, experience critical moments in history and transform your city into the Capital of Capital!

Each Age introduces its own game mechanics, presenting a distinct set of opportunities and challenges for the player's dynasty to navigate.
Traces from one age can be integrated into the next one.

No need to worry about laying roads!
Thanks to our unique algorithm, overseen by an urban planner, you can create the most realistic-looking city you've ever seen in a video game!
Quarters, factions, Age transitions... Your choices will shape your town's future!

Your inhabitants will have needs and expectations. Rely on buildings such as farms, cutting camps and quarries to ensure the livelihood of your pioneers.

Use your creativity and strategic skills to manage administrative and political centers to interact with your population.
Take the Senatus for instance : once built, you can propose and fund decrees, which will impact your city for short periods!

Face historical events like the Black Death and manage internal events such as riots and strikes that could lead to losing the game!

Build wonders like the Great Library of Alexandria, Windsor Castle, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Palace of Versailles and more to showcase your wealth and power throughout the ages!

The culture you choose will impact your city and offer significant replayability. Will you choose to be a craftsman, the influence of a politician, the mind of a philosopher, or something else?

"He's laying siege to places, and we don't like that."

Meanwhile, in CKIII, Penge: "Build more trebuchets!" "Oh those walls are absolutely tumbling down!" :P

The battle where the Macedonian king lost an eye would be a reference to Philip of Macedonia, who had one eye, who is mostly famous for being the father of Alexander the Great.

You might want to invest in another farm, soon. Your food seems to be ticking down a bit, at the end of the video. It's down to 996, from your maximum of 1.6k, and has been slowly decreasing for a while, again.
