I purchased a little thicker grease to use, as the type included in the kit is rather thin, more like a thick oil. I used Slickoleum, which is a great product with excellent adhesion properties. My engine is smooth and quiet in operation which certainly beats a metal grinding sound that the included lube doesn't quiet down. I also built the Stirling 4 cylinder engine using the grease in the kit and it wasn't nearly as smooth operating as the Slickoleum. It is available in the UK also. In any event, these kits are easy enough to disassemble, clean and re lube with the good stuff! Be generous in spreading the grease too! 😀

In modern v engines one bank of cylinders is shifted back by the width of the connecting rod so both rods can fit on the same crankshaft journal without having a bend in the connecting rod which would weaken it. On some early v engines they didn't offset the cylinders but had one normal connecting rod and one with a fork in the crank end and bolted on either side of the normal rod on the journal.

Flammable liquids in the workshop are not a good idea? Well we allow you sharp objects Wayne so we're not starting well *lol* Mind you, there is a responsible adult present in Mrs World of Wayne, so that's a start :)

one of the Underworld movies is a 3D animation, voiced by the original cast of actors

Wayne, "Tip, " just purchase a complete wooden tall ship model kit, as it comes complete and you will not need to do another "Ship burning Viking funeral" LOL 🤭😆😉

Just to nitpick a tiny bit :) The Prancing Pony was in Bree, which wasn't in the Shire :) (Also a life long LOTR fan :) )

The Olimpic sinked, the twin ship that was finished earlier than the Titanic, but the Titanic was made into a hospital ship and was sinked by german torpedos from a submarine, it was a easy to spot big target one!

These are beautiful looking models, but they are so prohibitively expensive to buy.

That's a crank shaft Wayne, not a cam.

Obvious to experienced modellers like you Wayne (frankly putting a screw in straight should be obvious to everyone but you never know), but I like that the instructions are 'Idiot Proof' as far as they can be. Mind you I recall the phrase 'Make something Idiot Proof and they'll build a better Idiot' :)

Watching your live stream (not live) I just have to chime in on a joke I heard recently:

What do the movies "The Sixth Sense" and "Titanic" have in common?

I see dead people (Icy dead people)

110 years, actually, we're ok, .
