I'm just starting my first bullet journal and I felt that the typical monthly/weekly spreads were going to be too much work for my ADHD brain 😄. This video just showed me the exact method I need! I'm happy I saw this video before I'd get annoyed to transfer the tasks again and again and i'd stop using it altogether! Thank you so much! 😃

I like the soft schedule /floated task feature because it solves the problem for people with changing schedules. I may also use a half circle for little tasks (about 30 minutes orless than hour) that I can do before or after workdays, to differentiate from bigger tasks (hour or more) which I'd use a full circle.

This was so useful as it actually was focusing on the BuJo setup and use. Many videos spend so much on the decorating that the functionality gets lost. I just discovered the Alastair method and find it useful. But I am still tweaking it to figure out what works for me. Rewriting daily is simply irritating, just like you said. Thank you for a very useful video!

When you are ready for it and (probably) done with this journal, please, please, PLEASE do a flip-thru! When you showed your filled-in Oct dutch door, I just loved it! I love seeing these gorgeous spreads actually used. And thank you for doing this video. Your earlier video has always been intriguing to me, but not as clear as this one, so way to go!

I feel offended that I've been bullet journaling for years now but found you literally just today. 😥 I've been binging your videos and they're all so helpful and inspiring. Thank you so much, Elizabeth! 💖

Just wanted to drop a note to say that I based my favorite weekly spread on this a few years back. It’s gotten me through graduate school, two pregnancies, a cross country move, the first three years of a demanding academic job, and kept me more or less organized and on top of my life through all that. Thank you for the inspiration and all your beautiful videos. And yay vegans, vegans rock!

OMG this spread is AWESOME!!! A lot of my errands are soft scheduled, and it usually takes multiple days to finish my projects, and this spread is just what I need! My January pages are already done so I'll still use them, but starting from February I'm switching to this spread for sure!! Hello from Vancouver BC, and thank you for sharing!

This is brilliant. Not knowing about this is the reason I stopped bullet journaling. Now I know what to do, so thank you!

Thank you for this video... I was burnt out with my bujo and so tired of moving tasks from day to day and this rolling weekly method is perfect for me!!! Life saver!

This is probably the most simple and effective way of bullet journaling from what I saw on YouTube. Thanks, I will definitely try this!

In addition to this excellent description of the rolling weekly, I'm appreciating that you're giving the best credit where credit is due and sources to the ideas as you can.

So many people on here don't do that at all, and I respect the folks who do - online or otherwise.

Thanks for modeling this specific kind of integrity.

The faux Dutch door setup had changed the game for me! Thanks for such a helpful explanation of this method. I've been stressing about how to make the bujo work for me.

I saw your video last year and that completely changed my bullet journal method. I'm at university so I have lot's of tasks that need to be done in various days. This helped me to see the progress on my projects and save me time since I don't have to rewrite tasks. I find out very useful to ad a vertical line for the day that a task need to be done, like a due line, so I can easily see how much time I need for a task. It's difficult to explain, so I will try to "draw" it:
M T W T F S S .
. . | . task
This task HAS to be done before Friday

Genius! And I love the idea of not putting "soft" to do stuff on the normal day's schedule. It will avoid me a lot of self-disappointment for not having done it. This is usually the main (and worst) mistake I do, when compiling lists for the coming week.

I've used this method for a few weeks now then attempted to use one of my old layouts and it felt so strange 😅 Rolling weeklies are the best! And you explained it very well!

I am loving the simplicity and effectiveness of this method. I picked up bullet journalling because to be more productive and to have more structure in my life. I can appreciate all the artsy spreads I come across, but seeing this level of thought and intention towards how a spread will be used productively is really what excites me.

This method is simple to setup, isn't too rigid in terms of allocating space ahead of time, but still provides enough structure to be able to scan the entire list and know exactly what's going on. Not having to assign a task to an arbitrary day is where it really shines. I have lots of tasks that aren't so day specific that I just need completed at some point in the week.

I've also started adding check boxes for habits since those are really tasks that require a specific date to be completed.
Thank you for sharing this!

Also, that camera work in the beginning was superb👌
