How To Turn Off Subaru Lane Departure Warning (Disable Subaru Lane Keep Assist). In this video tutorial I will show you how to turn off Subaru lane departure warning.
How to turn off lane departure warning:
Lane departure warning works at speeds above 30mph to warn you when your car veers off the lane without using the turn signals. It uses audible and visual warnings to alert you when you veer off the lanes. Here's how to do it:
Using the lane departure button
You’ll find the lane departure button in the following models:
• Pre-2020 Legacy and Outback.
• Pre-2022 Forester.
• Pre-2023 Ascent.
• Pre-2024 Crosstrek and Imreza.
To turn off lane departure warning:
• Locate the lane departure button in your vehicle. Most cars have it on the overhead console.
• Once you find it, press and hold for about two seconds. You’ll see the lane departure assist light off indicator on your driver’s display, indicating it’s turned off.
• If you want to turn on lane departure assist, press the switch for two seconds or until the lane departure warning indicator turns off.
Using the touch screen:
You’ll find the lane departure option in the infotainment system in the following models:
• Post-2020 Outback and Legacy.
• Post-2022 BRZ.
• Post-2023 Ascent.
• Post-2024 Crosstrek and Impreza.
To switch off lane departure in these cars:
• Touch the Home icon on your infotainment screen.
• Go to Settings and select car.
• Select Eyesight and tap OFF on the Lane Departure Prevention Function.
How to turn off lane keep assist
The lane keep assist is an active system that works at speeds above 40mph. It detects the markings on the road and helps you keep the car in its lane.
To turn it off:
On cars with a dedicated lane keep assist button
• Locate the lane keep assist button on your vehicles.
• Once you find it, press the lane keep assist to switch off this feature.
• Pressing the lane keep assist switch again re-activates this feature.
Using the infotainment screen.
You’ll find the lane keep assist feature in the infotainment system of the following models:
